 Solar Design Tech LLC offers several options for design. The ideal solution is always to have someone do a physical site visit. Special instrumentation can predict the best positioning for solar panels to avoid shadows and maximize the utilization of each system component.  Each site is unique. If you don’t obtain a design one of two scenarios will happen. Either you will overbuild the capacity of the system, which will incur thousands of dollars in additional cost, or you will have under-design capacity, which will create endless frustration for you. We know that many of our Internet customers however are in remote locations so for them we offer Online Design.

Option 1:  Online Design for your Solar, Wind or Hydro Project.  $799

Contrary to popular belief, the design of alternative energy projects is a fairly complex task. Every system design is unique depending upon location and consumption use. We will provide you with worksheets to calculate for your usage of energy. We will then enter this data into special energy master software program to calculate actual energy needs including reserves for days when there is no sun or wind. We will provide

• Energy consumption evaluations
•  Recommendations to reduce your energy consumption. Often this offers the maximum savings potential for a system. Replacing light bulbs for example with energy efficient types is much cheaper than adding additional solar panels.
• Detailed parts list you will need for your system and a system price quote. You can either buy the system from us or use the pick list to purchase the parts on your own or provide it to a local contractor.
• We typically invest 10-20 hours in design time. This is NOT cut and paste design. It is custom design to maximize your individual needs.
• Design costs, which you contract for, are non-refundable.

Option 2:  Onsite Visit and Project Design  $900 - $2400

If you are located within 75 miles of Reno, NV we will conduct on an onsite survey. Price is dependent upon the complexity of design.

Option 3:  Remote Site Travel and Project Design

We will travel anywhere for an on site visit if you are outside of the Reno, NV area. 

There will be an additional charge of $600 per day for time, plus travel expenses.

 The design an alternative energy home heating system can be complex. Every system design is unique depending upon location and your lifestyle. We will then enter your data into our special energy software program to calculate actual needs including reserves of storage when it is necessary. If you are located within 75 miles of Reno,  NV we will do an onsite survey for your excising home or business. Price is dependent upon the complexity of design, size, and location.

Option 2: Passive / Active Air Heating Collector Design Starting At $995.00

We will enter your data into our special energy software program to calculate actual needs. If you are located within 75 miles of Reno, NV we will do an onsite survey for your excising home or business. Price is dependent upon the complexity of design, size, and location.

The design of an IECC home can be complex. Every IECC home design is unique depending upon location and size of dwelling. We will use your ideas then enter this data into our special energy program to calculate actual requirements needed  for windows, walls, insulation, and other items  that are necessary. If you are located within 75 miles of Reno, NV. Outside of Reno, NV their will be an additional cost. Price is dependent upon the complexity of design and location. We need your Blue Prints and/or ideas for new construction before you see the architect.

Every IECC business design is unique depending upon location and size of dwelling. We will enter your  data into our special energy software program to calculate actual requirements needed  for windows, walls, insulation, heating, and other required items  that may be necessary. If you are located within 75 miles of Reno, NV. Outside of Reno, NV their will be an additional cost. Price is dependent upon the complexity of design and location. We need your Blue Prints and/or ideas for new construction before you see the your architect.
